BREAKING NEWS: An illegal hack of former president George W. Bush’s email account reveals that he has taken up a hobby of painting. Noted subjects include himself bathing.
Plenty of other former heads of state have taken up artistic pastimes after their service ends. E.g. Winston Churchill. But ONLY IN AMERICA is it this awkward.
From the Washington Free Beacon:
The paintings demonstrate a command of line and color that is rarely seen in the modern-day “art” world. Former President George W. Bush appears to be influenced by such painters as Edgar Degas and Édouard Manet. The portraits also clearly capture the personality of their subject.
